Maine Governor’s Opioid Response Summit

Bringing together policymakers, medical professionals, recovery advocates, and other stakeholders from across the state, the Governor’s Opioid Response Summit convened at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland to tackle the opioid addiction crisis in Maine. The summit featured speakers from the Maine Office of Behavioral Health, Wabanaki Public Health and Wellness, and the White House Office of Public Health. Among somber statistics and a difficult road ahead, the summit also held space for voices in recovery who delivered a message of hope, as well as the many passionate and caring professionals dedicated to helping communities and families cope with the opioid epidemic.
